Meet the Team
JOHN RICHARDSONJohn, a Virginia native, earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina. He is presently a professor of chemistry at Shippensburg University. His interests have spanned chemical instrumentation, forensic chemistry, and materials chemistry. He is an active member of the American Chemical Society, in which he served as Secretary to the Division of Analytical Chemistry from 1999 to 2003.

LAUREN STAINSLauren, a native of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, is presently completing her B.S. degree in Chemistry at Shippensburg University. Besides thinking about kombucha, her professional interests span areas such as chemical instrumentation, mathematical modeling of chemical problems, and reaching out to the local and regional brewing community.
